Shaesta Waiz selected by NBAA for 2018 Business Aviation Top 40 Under 40 award

DAYTONA BEACH, FL, Nov. 1, 2018 – Dreams Soar, Inc. is pleased to announce that Founder and President Shaesta Waiz was selected by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) as one of the 2018 Business Aviation Top 40 Under 40 award winners. NBAA’s Young Professionals in Business Aviation (YoPro) Council, a group of business aviation professionals and NBAA staff liaisons working to build relationships between the industry’s emerging leaders, reviewed hundreds of nominations in eight career categories and identified the top 40 candidates who represent “the best of our industry”.

Ms. Waiz was selected in the Pilot career category in recognition of her Global Flight for STEM in 2017, during which she became the youngest woman to complete a solo flight around the world in a single-engine aircraft. During the journey, Waiz met with and inspired more than 3,000 children and young adults in 22 countries across five continents, promoting the value of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education and the career opportunities in aviation.

“Often we find that kids’ idea of aviation is limited to pilots and maybe air traffic controllers,” said Ms. Waiz. “We want to open their eyes to an entire industry that needs to be sustained with all types of positions in aviation.”
