From Fuelers to Fixed-Based Operators, Dreams Soar’s Mark at NBAA SDC17

How does one get around the world, in roughly 90 days, in a single-engine aircraft to deliver outreach supporting youth to pursue STEM and aviation education? It does not happen without help from a seasoned team of worldwide fuelers, Fixed-Based Operators (FBOs) and flight planning partners. The availability of avgas globally is becoming more scarce, yet with the Dreams Soar team present at this year’s NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers, Shaesta addressed an audience of attendees sharing how this flight is engineered, planned and scheduled strategically to meet the needs per leg of flight. Dreams Soar was part of the excitement where NBAA announced record attendance and exhibitors from February 7-10 in Fort Worth, Tx. We thank Global Partner NBAA for supporting our participation and presence at the conference.
Dreams Soar graciously thanks the following ongoing supporters who helped our team in February travel to NBAA SDC17 in Fort Worth, Tx., as well as flight training in Wichita, Kan. Shell Aviation continues to support our mission and provides fuel to the program. In addition, the great team at TexasJet based at Meacham Field ensured the bonanza was fueled and hangared during our time at NBAA. While training in Wichita, Signature Flight Support covered all our needs while Shaesta was local for training. Last, and surely not least, Tom Turner, with the American Bonanza Society and BPPP instructor, offered his time and support to provide necessary flight training for Shaesta and Dreams Soar. We appreciate everyone coming together and embracing the global outreach mission ahead!
Dreams Soar would like to welcome PlaneLogix aboard our efforts. As a new partner to the organization, PlaneLogix is creating a digital aircraft maintenance logbook for the Bonanza! Having instant access to aircraft maintenance is instrumental as Shaesta traverses the globe. Thank you PlaneLogix for your incredible donation that will help ensure the safety of the aircraft throughout the flight!
Just Breathe! Thank You Aerox
Dreams Soar would like to thank Aerox for becoming our official supplementary oxygen partner. Aerox is providing in-flight oxygen for Shaesta when she ascends to higher altitudes during longer legs of the flight. The system even provides a tube for international refilling to ensure Shaesta has sufficient oxygen throughout the journey. Thanks Aerox for helping Dreams Soar breathe a little easier! We look forward to sharing photos of the in-kind donation soon.

Thank You River Services, Inc.

We would like to thank River Services, Inc. for donating a personal locator beacon (PLB) that will be carried by Shaesta throughout the global flight. In the unlikely event of an emergency en route, the PLB will pinpoint Shaesta’s location, easily allowing emergency personnel to locate her. Thank you River Services for helping us keep Shaesta safe!

Orion Jet Center provided an amazing FBO experience in Opa Locka, Fla. recently. Their team was a pleasure to work with. We appreciate fueling and hangar support as our newest FBO Partner!
