“I think especially with being a female in yet another male dominated profession, that it’s important for us to come together as women to help encourage, inspire, educate and mentor other young women. All it takes is hard work, dedication, but most importantly it all starts with a dream. And that’s what we are here for, to help their dreams within aviation soar!”
Women in Aviation International Conference in Orlando, Fl
The annual Women in Aviation International Conferencewas held in Orlando this year on March 2-4, and was three days of all things aviation! The Dream Team, with support of our partner, Bose Aviation, was able to spread the Dreams Soar mission and recent developments to all present. Dreams Soar pilot, Shaesta Waiz, had the opportunity to partake in several speaking engagements, including a panel discussion for Girls in Aviation Day. She was able to connect with a young audience and share her experiences of becoming a pilot and the Dreams Soar mission alongside other women in the aviation industry. Dreams Soar can now move forward with confidence in providing a successful global outreach program with the opportunities that WIA has provided.
Drones Soar with USI
The Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) industry has exploded worldwide over the past two years.  You might have heard of them as drones, UAVs, or model aircraft.  The FAA anticipates the drone industry to add $82B to the US economy and 100,000 US jobs by 2026. UAS are used in a variety of industries for a diverse range of applications. Yet women are highly underrepresented in this field, putting them at a disadvantage in STEM careers. To help change that, Dreams Soar is excited to announce that the Unmanned Safety Institute (USI) has joined Dreams Soar as an Outreach Partner providing STEM education resources for our outreach efforts during Shaesta’s flight.  USI is the only organization in the world that focuses exclusively on UAS safety and is a leading provider of safety education and training services to academic institutions, industry partners, and flight services companies. Thank you USI for helping us inspire the next generation!

We would like to thank all of our donors for their commitment to our cause! Here’s what they had to say about Dreams Soar recently:
