Join Our #STEMsoars Movement – Show Off How Your Organization Uses STEM On The Job

If this newspaper clip was released a year from now would you be on the right side of history?

Introducing the ‘#STEMsoars campaign,’ a new and exciting feature of our global outreach plan to showcase the stimulating world of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and aviation. In addition to exposing youth to these fields directly through Capt. Shaesta Waiz’supcoming global solo flight, as a part of our global outreach, we are launching a campaign inviting companies and organizations everywhere to show children globally, and to our many online followers, how pursuing STEM/aviation studies are relevant and exciting. We need YOUR help! Who better to showcase their product and services than you? We would like you to join our campaign by submitting a short video (pre-existing or exclusive to this campaign) showing off your products or services, wherein you discuss how STEM studies were a necessary part of your industry.

We intend to display your video on our upcoming campaign webpage to coincide with the launch, and more excitingly, as a part of Capt. Waiz’s keynote speech at the 18 global outreach events. This would be a great publicity opportunity for your organization.

Find out more details about the campaign here, or email your questions to our media producer, Michael Wildes, at

Are you excited? Because we are!

Your participation could very well be the motivation that a child needs to pursue STEM & aviation. Be on the right side of history! #STEMsoars

Daimely Lara, Corporate & Donor Relations
“You would be surprised how many women don’t know about STEM and aviation-related careers. I came from a town (Passaic, NJ) where these advanced fields of study were never an option. DSI WILL change that!”

Keith Kocourek Makes Gift to Honor Fallen Aviator, Olivia Dahl

On September 18, 2016, young female aviator and student pilot, Olivia Dahl, was killed in an aircraft accident. An avid pilot and philanthropist, Keith was touched by Olivia’s story and wanted to help preserve her memory. “I am happy to support such a great cause that is helping attract young people to aviation, while also honoring the legacies of those whose lives are taken from us,” Keith shared.

Through a generous gift to Dreams Soar, Keith’s donation will allow us to name a flight leg ofShaesta’s route in memory of Olivia Dahl.

As parents, we understood there would forever be risks to becoming a pilot. We would like for other young people in our community and beyond who have an interest in flying not to be deterred by what happened to Olivia, because accidents happen in life to people both young and old, and if you never take any risks, you will never know the thrills and treasures life has to offer. Olivia chose an exciting path for herself, and went all in with that drive, intensity, and fearlessness that is common to gifted people from all walks of life.

~ Jennifer and Collin Dahl, parents of Olivia
