Dreams Soar had the opportunity to attend the American Bonanza Society (ABS) convention in Orlando, Florida first of this month. The convention was a great way to learn more about the A-36 Bonanza, the aircraft which will be used for the Dreams Soar flight, and to connect with Bonanza pilots and enthusiasts. Shaesta had the opportunity to attend educational seminars, talk one-on-one with experienced Bonanza pilots and shared the mission behind the Dreams Soar initiative at the exhibit hall. Overall, the convention was a success and we thank the American Bonanza Society for their support.
Keynote speakers at the ABS banquet dinner were, Mr. Lou Seno, VP of Corporate Relations and Government Affairs at Embry-Riddle, and Dr. Pat Anderson, Professor of Aerospace Engineering and Director of the Eagle Flight Research Center. Concluding the dinner, Mr. Whit Hickman, Executive Director of ABS, presented a check to the Dreams Soar program in the amount of $1,000 to help fund the flight leg from Prescott, Arizona to Wichita, Kansas. Attending the ABS convention was, without a doubt, another turning point for the Dreams Soar initiative.
